Desert Rock: A Tribute to the Laurel Canyon Music Scene
Join us for an homage to musicians in the late 60’s and early 70’s who pioneered a whole new genre of American music fusing Folk, Rock and Country; The Byrds and Buffalo Springfield and their off-shoots like Crosby, Stills and Nash, Loggins & Messina, Poco and Neil Young.
Throw in a few songwriters like JD Souther, Warren Zevon, Lowell George, Tom Waits and Gram Parsons, and mix in David Geffen’s amazing lineup of artists on Asylum records; Linda Ronstadt, The Eagles, Jackson Browne and Joni Mitchell and you have an incredible night of music.
In this multimedia show, we present two hours of music history from three original American musical genres that became one; faithfully recreating that California Country Rock sound we call Desert Rock.
