A Beginner Stained Glass Workshop (Glass Cannon Studio). Choose it. Cut it. Solder it. Take it home.
You’ve seen stained glass. You’ve admired stained glass. Now it’s time to make some stained glass! In this beginner-friendly one-day workshop, you’ll get a hands-on introduction to the Tiffany method and create your very own stained glass ornament. We’ll guide you through the whole process, from picking out your colorful glass to cutting, foiling, soldering, and finishing your piece. No experience? No problem. We’ve got you covered! All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with a handmade ornament that you created yourself.
But wait… there’s more! Before your ornament heads home with you, it gets a little Raue Center spotlight. Your creation will be displayed on the RCSA Christmas Tree in the Raue Center lobby for the holiday season (if you’d like it to be)!
Come make something. Learn something. And maybe discover that you’re secretly really good at working with glass.
Please note: Students must be 14+. Students ages 14–17 must have a parent present for the duration of class due to the tools and processes used. Please wear long pants and closed-toe shoes.
