Got a story to tell? A song to sing? A joke to crack?

Here’s your chance to step up and share it with the community at Open Mic Night at Raue Center!

Whether it’s music, comedy, spoken word, poetry, or something in between, we want to hear it!

Here’s what you need to know:

  • Each performer will have 5–7 minutes on stage. (Please time your act at home so we can keep the night running smoothly.)
  • Space is limited! Each event will feature up to 10 performers and one host, so sign up early to secure your slot.
  • Let us know what kind of performance you’re planning when you register.

Not ready to take the mic just yet? Come enjoy the show anyway—cheer on your fellow performers and get inspired for next time!

TO SIGN UP: Fill out the form HERE.  A finalized performer lineup will be emailed the day before the event. Questions? Please email openmic@rauecenter.org

Event Logistics

  • All Artistic Forms Welcome: Music, poetry, comedy, storytelling, dance, and more!

  • Time Limit: Performances are capped at 5 minutes to ensure everyone has a chance to shine.

  • Self-Contained Acts: Keep setups simple and quick (under 2 minutes). Bring only what you can manage independently—no complex tech or stage changes.

Content Boundaries

To uphold a respectful and supportive environment, performers must refrain from:

  1. Hate speech, discriminatory language, or harmful stereotypes targeting individuals/groups based on identity.

  2. Deliberately divisive rhetoric (e.g., calls to violence, targeted attacks on communities).

  3. Promotional or partisan content unrelated to artistic expression.

Community Spirit

  • Tip Jar: Tips collected during the night are split equally among all performers. Stick around to cheer on your peers and share in the collective support and to get some Green!

  • Stay & Connect: We encourage everyone to stay for the entire event. Celebrate the diversity of voices and strengthen our creative community. We encourage DEI as the Arts help us all embrace empathy and the love of our Community.

What We Encourage

  • Bold, personal storytelling and art that sparks dialogue through empathy.

  • Experimentation with form, style, and perspective.

  • A culture of mutual respect and encouragement.
